Psalm 71:14Īs for me, I will always have hope I will praise you more and more. God loves to bring His strength to our weakness. Admit that you are having a hard time and that you need His help. I encourage you, the next time you are listening to your favorite worship song to just take a second and put your trust in Him. Putting all your trust in the Lord can be one of the hardest things, especially if you are like me and need to have some control of things. So much of an impact that a song, a single hymn, will cause many people to stop and see the Lord. Many will see and fear the Lord and put their trust in him. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. It’s amazing how saying the words out loud can turn your heart from stress to joy. Sing aloud or pray the lyrics “Your praise will ever be on my lips”. Take a look at this song, play it when you can – during a quiet time, doing the dishes, or rocking your little one. Amidst the happiness, the struggles, the calm, the crazy… we should praise Him at all times. It is a great reminder that our lips should always praise Him. This has always been one of my favorite worship songs. “Your praise will ever be on my lips, Ever be on my lips.” If you have ever heard the song Ever Be by Bethel, their chorus is directly from this verse. I will glory in the Lord let the afflicted hear and rejoice. I will extol the Lord at all times his praise will always be on my lips. Let us praise Him when we are happy, sad, lost, found. Let us praise Him not only when our prayers have been answered but when we are feeling troubled or lost. He is not far from you, especially when you are brokenhearted or despairing. In the midst of our troubles, may you always go to God, knowing He will answer you.

In the midst of David’s struggles he goes to God, prays to Him, and David knows that when God answers his prayers, he will praise Him. David continues to talk to God, though!ĭavid remembers all that God has done for him in his past and knows God will answer him. He prays to God but feels his prayers are not being answered. He has been attacked and mocked by many people. This Psalm, in particular, is a lament.ĭavid is troubled. I will declare your name to my brothers and sisters in the assembly, I will sing your praises. That He is good all the time and His love endures forever. Allow His presence to take over and remind us that He is good. Imagine being there and seeing that! What if that could happen within us? Imagine praising the Lord and being filled with the Spirit of the Lord so much so that we have to stop what we are doing and sit in His presence. He was there with them! His presence was so strong, the priests could not go on with the service. As they sang “He is good his love endures forever” and lifted their joyful noise to the Lord the temple was filled with a cloud. Accompanied by trumpets, cymbals, and other instruments, the singers raised their voices in praise to the Lord and sang: “He is good his love endures forever.” The temple of the Lord was filled with the cloud, and the priests could not perform their service because of the cloud, for the glory of the Lord filled the temple of God.Ĭan you picture this scene? The trumpeters, the musicians, the singers all join together to give thanks to the Lord. The trumpeters and musicians joined in unison to give praise and thanks to the Lord.
